I picked up photography while in the Navy, and have pursued it ever since! Most photographers take photos for themselves. Unless you are a pro and make your living as a photographer, most of us take photos for the pure enjoyment of it, always trying to capture that perfect image.
I love taking photos for myself. It’s a very personal art, like painters, sculptors, etc. We don’t necessarily do it to please others. I’m happy if someone admires my work. If someone wants to buy my work – even better! But being the camera and chasing that next photo is what I really enjoy.
