Carol (Billings) Kunschaft
Carol began to draw, paint & show interest in Art at a very early age. In HS she was mentored by her High School Art teacher Elllie Havez. She graduated from New Jersey City University with a BA in Fine Art and teaching certificate (Art K-12). Then taught Art in Ridgefield NJ. She later moved to Florida and was mentored by Lois Rector, a prominent silk painter, (Fiber Arts Institute).
In Dunedin FL, in the 1990's, she & four artist friends opened a studio/gallery (Artrageous), where she was a well known silk painter. In 2005 Carol moved back to CT and joined the Ten-2-One Artists/Crescent Gallery in Thomaston. She now paints predominantly in acrylics using vibrant colors.
